BUSTER HAS BEEN ADOPTED AND NOW LIVES CLOSE BY IN CARTERET, NJ. IT WAS TOUGH TO SEE HIM GO SINCE HE'S LIVED HERE WITH ME FOR OVER 2 YEARS. BUT IT WAS TIME FOR THIS HAPPY BOY TO FIND HIS HOME WHERE HE WILL GET ONE ON ONE ATTENTION.
ALTHO HIS NEW OWNER IS A DEVILS FAN, I AM SURE BUSTER WILL BE HAPPY WITH HIS NEW MOM.
Buster's story is the bane of our existence in the rescue community. Someone adopts a cute cuddly puppy and swears they are going to make it work...and here he comes back months later as an older (and harder to adopt) dog. *sigh* So here we go again....

Buster is a sweet, now 2 year old boy who came up from St Croix to try his luck at finding a home here in the states. He is a high energy dog (like most pups his age) so please - no couch potatoes need apply. However, Buster is calming down now that he is getting out of his "teenage" years. He is a 'shy guy' when he first meets you but comes out of his shell when he sees you initiate play of some sort. He plays with the other foster dogs and likes to run around the yard being chased. He likes to wrestle and chase balls in the yard so it's important to get him enough exercise...after all, a tired dog is a good dog. While he is not completely deaf, he is very hard of hearing so you need to speak to him in a loud voice. He responds to treats and goes right in his crate after a biscuit. His original foster mom had him housebroken but he has had a couple accidents when he came back (only a few - not bad at all). But I've had tons of dogs pass thru here so the temptation is really great for some dogs. Buster does like his pets and cuddles. But it's not long until he's off like a bullet again when he sees the other dogs rough-housing. He is somewhat protective of his food and bones around the other dogs but he is fine letting the humans handle him and take away his food. However, we don't recommend him going to a house with very young kids. We want to avoid clash of the (dropped) cookies.
Buster is vetted, up to date with shots, neutered , dewormed and microchipped. If you are looking to add a fun guy to your family, look no further. He is a medium sized dog and is currently around the 50 pound mark.

There is an adoption fee if you decide to take one of our "All Star Pets" home. We prefer homes within a 50 mile radius of Linden, NJ.
