LUCY-PENDING ADOPTION German Shepherd Dog Amherst, OH

Lucy was originally given up by her person before coming to us due to her size and that she was quite rambunctious. Her person was older and afraid Lucy may knock her down. Lucy is approx. 2 1/2 years old and weighs 90 lbs. She is spayed, vaccines are current (bordetella will be done soon) and has been heartworm tested negative. Lucy is housetrained and is a very friendly girl. She can be left with the run of the house while you are out or working as long as it is not a super long day. We think she should be an only pet so she can get the necessary training and bonding time she needs. Lucy can go from 0 to 100 in a second so she will need someone who is willing to supply her with a calm, stable environment. Cats and small animals do too much to stimulate a prey drive in her. A CONDITION OF ADOPTION WITH LUCY IS THAT THE ADOPTER GOES TO TRAINING WITH HER. She can then learn to have proper manners. Lucy did go to a home on a trial but it did not work out, again, due to her size and her ability to become over excited, all 90 pounds of her. We are really interested in finding Lucy a home with no children and a fenced in yard. She will need a decent amount of exercise daily.
