Marty Norwich Terrier Mix Medfield, MA

Marty is a 1 - 2-year-old Norwich Terrier mix that was found as a stray. He has many great qualities, and is an adorable little dog. He loves to go for walks, likes to sit in laps, enjoys toys and was even good for his recent grooming . He is housebroken, neutered and microchipped. He knows many commands, but has a tendency to try take over once he is comfortable in a new situation, so will need an experienced owner comfortable with being the pack leader. Due to this he would not be suitable for a home with kids. Like many terriers, he has a stubborn streak and he is also selective about what dogs he likes. He will be a fun companion for an experienced dog owner.

If a dog is listed on our website, that means that dog is still available for adoption. The Shelter is staffed primarily by volunteers so adoption meetings take place on Saturdays from 11 - 1:00 during adoption hours, or by appointment. Our dog adoption fee for dogs 6 years old or younger is $350. Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, tested for heartworm and Lyme and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash and a month's worth of heartworm preventative. If a dog is listed on our website, they are still available for adoption. With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both.
