Meet Ariel
Hi, my name is Ariel - yep! just like the little mermaid! Upon meeting me, you'll quickly realize that while I'm not a mermaid, I am definitely little and unique looking. At only 6 pounds, I’m not exactly winning any awards for being a heavyweight and am on the shy side. Here are some other coo things you should know if you would like to make me yours:
-I’m sweet and snuggly and can be a complete attention hog with people I know
-My foster mom says when I race around the yard I look like a little gazelle (whatever that is!)
-Wrestling with my foster sister and playing tug of war are two of my most favorite pastimes (Oh, besides getting lots and lots of attention, that is!)
I adore my foster doggie sister, so I would likely do well in a home with another dog. Cats I think are fun to chase sometimes, but not all cats feel the same way I do. Because I am on the shy and timid side, smaller humans might make me nervous. My personality tends to shine best when I’m around other dogs or adult humans who are patient, kind, and loving.
Because my younger years were not the best, I'm not really what you would call a "social butterfly". I am a very unique little girl, so I tend to take my time in getting to know new people. I will definitely sound an alert If I see a stranger approaching at home, because who knows? They could be dangerous! When I’m out and about, my shyness takes over when it comes to meeting strangers but if they take it slow and give me just a little bit of time, I do come around and am ready to make friends (and get lots and lots of attention!).
I promise, if you are patient and give me some time to learn who you are and what you’re about, but most importantly, know that you’re my forever family, I will become your best and most loyal companion and you'll be able to give me lots and lots of attention!
