Meet Max
Max is an exuberant, young dog who had a lonely start in life, but has since learned to embrace all the great things the world has to offer beyond the confines of a backyard chain. Max has learned that other dogs are potential playmates and now never passes up the chance to romp around once introductions are made. He is still young and can get a little carried away in playing with another dog, so it is important to continue to supervise him around others to remind him of proper play behavior as well as choose canine companions which will be forgiving of young dog enthusiasm.
Even though Max is an energetic dog, he settles down quickly and is content to lay at your feet with a ball or chew toy when you need a break. He listens pretty well and picks up training quickly. Max has a ton of food drive and can be taught almost anything through this route. He may even have potential as an agility dog or participating in some other high activity level event. Max is great in the crate, but should be watched closely indoors otherwise, as he won't alert you if he needs to go out to potty. He walks well on leash even on a flat collar as long as he is reminded of his manners.
Max is a clownish, goofy type of dog who is always up for an adventure, but without being over the top excitable. He would do well with tolerant, playful dog personalities, or as a single dog living with a more active person.
The $250 adoption fee includes full vetting, the DHPP, Rabies, Bordatella, Canine Flu vaccines, spay/neuter and microchipping.
