Meet Sam

Meet Sam! Sam is about 4 years old and weighs 14 lbs. A bit larger than your average Chihuahua, and maybe even a German Pinscher mixed in, Sam has been an excellent foster guest. He is very friendly with the dogs in the home and even plays here and there. He loves his foster mom, and sits on her lap wherever he can. He will run over to her for pets and lean his head and body into her and you can just feel his body relax. It's his version of a hug, and he does it all the time!

Sam is great in his crate, walks nicely on a leash, and is working on house training. He loves treats and bones! He hasn't played with any toys yet but he is still adjusting. He will come running when called from wherever he is in the house, jump into his foster mom's lap and give her kisses. Sam is a sweetheart who will melt your heart when you meet him! His fur is a beautiful chestnut color, and it is the softest ever!

NOTE: Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
