Yodi Black Labrador Retriever Richmond, VA

Yodi is a 2-year-old neutered black male. He is very laid back, good on a leash, and likes to give kisses. It is obvious he has been well cared for. He is a total love bug, greeting everyone with kisses and clearing the coffee table with a tail wag. Yodi sits at your feet and leans into you. Yodi loves to play with toys. He is a big guy but is good on a leash. He knows several commands - sit, down, shake, and more. When you say “down”, he goes down, drops at your feet and rolls over on his back at your feet! Yodi is good with other dogs. There’s no cat or kid history for Yodi, so he’s approved for kids ages 10 and up.

Foster family reports: Yodi is the best house dog EVER. It's like he has lived here forever, NO MAINTENANCE inside, if he was anymore laid back he would be backwards. SO SO SO easy. SO SO gentle. His game of fetch is three to four throws only. He complains a bit when he goes in the crate, but then he stops. Yodi was uneasy around men, so any males meeting him need to go slowly and let him approach them when he's comfortable.

Update: Yodi is very laid back 2-year old boy. He has EXCELLENT house manners and appears to be crate trained. He knows sit and shake and takes treats very gently. Yodi walks best with an easy-walk harness. He enjoys romping with the resident lab and playing with squeaky toys. But perhaps most of all he enjoys snoozing in the company of his people. Yodi has been great with everyone he has met: humans and dogs. He has met a number of men and he hasn't reacted any differently than he has with women. He is going to be a great addition to a lucky family.


Yodi weighs 73 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with adults and/or kids ages 10 and up.

This dog is available for adoption from Lab Rescue LRCP. The rescue has about 50 dogs available for adoption at any given time.
