I originally came to the SPCA from Putnam County with my adorable 8 kittens. I am lucky that the SPCA arranged for us to live with a very nice foster family until my kittens were ready to be spayed or neutered. I taught them all of the basics so that they would get good families. I did a real good job and all 8 kittens were adopted quickly. Then it was my turn and I was adopted quickly also. So why am I back at the shelter? Unfortunately one family member discovered he was allergic to cats. The family would like you to know that I am an absolutely lovely, easy going cat. And I agree. And so do the SPCA Staff and volunteers. So please visit and ask the Staff to introduce us.

No appointment is necessary to come in and meet/adopt an animal unless noted differently above. You may also fill out an Application when you get here. We do same day adoptions. Please note, we do NOT hold animals, nor do we accept deposits in advance. Even if you have discussed coming in to meet an animal or have an approved Application with us this does not necessarily guarantee you will get that particular puppy or dog. All Cats and Kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated (age appropriate) and come with a free 7 day Veterinarian check from a participating Vet!

Our hours are Monday-Saturday 10am-4pm and Sunday's 1pm-4pm. Fees are as follows: A kitten 1 year and under is $150, 2 Kittens are $250, Adult cats over 1 year are $75 and Lonely Hearts Club Members/Seniors are $55.
