Meet Muffin~ Leukemia Positive :(
*****To donate, sponsor a pet, or fill out an adoption application please visit our website www.bgshelterpets.com*****
Intake Date: 3/16
Available Date: 3/16
Intake Reason: transfer from other shelter
Approx Age 8-9 weeks
Muffin is the cutest little kitten EVER, and she is ANYTHING but sick. Muffin came to us from another shelter where there was no room for her, and we were heartbroken to find out that she is positive for feline Leukemia. For those not familiar, Feline Leukemia is an autoimmune disorder that there is no cure for. It does not pose any risk at all for other species, but positive cats need to be in single cat households. It can be many months or even years between the initial diagnosis and the onset of symptoms. Muffin is so full of life, love, and energy that we know she deserves a chance to live out her life in a loving home. We know that not everyone is willing to take on a kitten with a terminal illness, but all it takes is that one special person to open their heart and home to Muffin for the time she has. Please give her a chance.
