Meet Tripp-DAWGS
Meet Tripp, a very handsome, 54 lb 1 yr. old Australian Shepherd mix boy. He is affectionate, friendly and playful. Tripp is great with kids and gets along well with other dogs. He does not like cats.
He also visited the local nursing home where he was a big hit with the residents.
Tripp was recently chosen for the DAWGS in Prison program, http://www.dawgsinprison.com . The dogs selected for this program go through an intense 8-week training session and live with their trainers, handlers and caretakers in a dormitory style work camp. All of these dogs have had an extensive temperament test and get along well with other dogs and people. They are available for adoption now and will go home with you after graduation on June 24. The dogs are all crate trained, house trained, and basic obedience trained. They can be expected to sit, stay, recall, down, heel, and respond to no and leave it. The dogs are also well trained on a leash. Of course, they are up to date on all vaccines as well as spayed/neutered. Applications for this dog are available online at www.dawgsinprison.com .
