Ricardo Chinese Crested Dog Mix Charlotte, NC

Hi there, my name is Ricardo. I am a beautiful seven year old Powderpuff Chinese Crested mix and I am looking for my perfect match to love me for the rest of my life. Let's get the basics out of the way first before I tell you more about my personality. I weigh approximately 13lbs but my personality is much larger. I can be a little slow to warm up to new people so please be patient with me. But once you are in my circle of friends, I am the most loving guy you will meet. I have learned, with training, that not all strangers are bad and that some even give good belly rubs. I am good with other dogs and respectful of cats. I do need regular brushing and grooming to keep my beautiful coat shinny and tangle free. I need someone who will lead me, so that I don’t have to take charge. I am told that I am very smart and respond well to training. I am most comfortable in a home without any children.


***Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers and we require a home check for each of our adoptable pets prior to them going to their new homes, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family further than 60 miles from Charlotte is responsible for finding a representative of a rescue local to them that is willing to perform the home check. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to meet/pick up the pet as soon as the application is approved.***
