Meet Toby

Toby's family moved and sadly could not take him with them. Toby is a very regal lemon beagle, white with tan spots. He is a very friendly dog with adults. Toby was raised with small children and becomes confused by them and as such is not a good fit for a young family environment. Toby is now 10 years old and still quite mobile.

Some thoughts from Toby

Hi my name is Toby, Foster Dad calls me Tobster or Tman which is fine because let’s face it he and I are pals!!! Foster Mom is someone I also enjoy spending time with especially when she is in a reading mood and I curl up with her while she reads and pets me. Foster Dad keeps me busy with watching these sports shows on TV, something about ice and sticks, I don’t understand it but he really seems to enjoy it and I get couch time with him when that is going on. I do go for regular walks but when you get to be my age you do tend to slow down just a bit. My Foster Family has noticed that I so enjoy my naps and sleep time if woken up to quickly or moved suddenly in my sleep I can become scared and may speak up a bit because I am a little confused. Foster Mom and Dad are very good about taking their time when waking me up or moving me (yes I am so darn cute and well behaved they even let me sleep on the bed). I have two step sisters at the moment that are also beagles and I have discovered I am a pretty mellow fellow. I would fit in well to an existing pet environment that is mellow and not aggressive as that is not my behavior style. I behave well in my crate, but to be honest I enjoy spending time with people and not time in my crate.

Toby is available and his adoption fee is $150. If you are interested in him or any of the beagles available through Seattle Beagle Rescue, the first step is to fill out our adoption form on http://www.BeagleRescue.org and tell us a little bit about yourself.

All of our dogs are in foster homes as we do not have a shelter.
We are in desperate need of foster homes. We are having to turn down dogs that need us for a lack of foster homes. If you live in a house, have children that are at least school age, and want to give a temporary home to a desperate dog, please fill out our foster home application. You will make a needy beagle very happy. https://id3416.securedata.net/beaglerescue/forms/fosteradog.html
