Forget “The Sexiest Man Alive.” If People Magazine devoted an issue to “The Sexiest Dog Alive,” Latka could be their cover canine. A RBARI staffer describes him as “Hollywood handsome.”

With a honey-colored coat, unusually beautiful gold eyes, a white tuxedo chest and one distinctive white paw, this boy has movie star looks. But his loving heart is just as appealing.

Latka is a one-year-old pit mix, but in his mind, he’s still a big puppy. He came to RBARI from another shelter and never had basic obedience training, so he’s just learning to channel all his fun-loving exuberance into adult dog behavior.

Fortunately, he is a very smart dog who has shown us that he can learn basic commands and obedience skills. He will need a home where that education and structure will continue, so Latka can complete his transition from a big puppy to a successful adult dog.

If you are looking for a smart, energetic, fun-loving dog to enjoy long walks and play with you, and are willing to complete his obedience training, then Latka could be just the dog for you. We are looking for an adult home or one with no children under 12.
