Blackbeard is a super sweet kitten who enjoys playing with the other cats and kittens in his foster home.
Blackbeard is one of the “Pirate Kittens”. He was found in a feral colony where a virus had spread and damaged the eyes of several of the kittens. He has a chronic wet eye and a sometimes prominent 3rd eyelid as a result of this infection – but he didn’t lose either eye, and has seen Animal Eye Care in Cary, NC and has received a clean bill of health. His current eye issues are entirely cosmetic.
His favorite toys are sparkly balls, but he’s more into snuggling with his foster mom than playing. He has been fostered in a home with large cat friendly dogs and did fine!
Blackbeard was found in a feral colony where TNR is currently underway.
Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with rescue paid registration.
