Meet Sina

Sina is a 20 month old (33 lb) mixed breed found stray in SC.
If Sina could tell you one thing, it would be: "COME ONNN ALREADY!!!" This petite little girl likes to be on the go. Outside to play, explore and play some more.
Part Pitbull and part hound, her nose is always going. She has the coat and tail of a hound and the mushy face of a pit. She runs, she leaps, she tracks whatever she can in the tall grass. And when she's done? Well, again...she's part pit bull, so there's really nothing better than curling up for a good, solid, nap with lots of snoring.

When she's inside, she plays with her toys, her foster brother Max and TRIES to play with the cats. But they tend to hiss and bat her in the face...with claws.
She often hears: "NO KITTIES!" Tennis balls are her favorite by far. But they are closely followed by marrow bones, ropes, and stuffies...anything she can keep busy chewing or gnawing on. When she's been in the house a lot during these particularly frigid days and needs to work off energy, a Kong stuffed with bigger treats keeps her occupied.
She has to work on chewing the Kong to break up the treats and get them out.

The theme here is to keep her busy. You'll know when she's bored because she sighs. Yes, Sina SIGHS, like a human. When she's bored or has just been scolded,
she sighs and walks away. Pretty sure she rolls her eyes too.

She currently lives with a foster mom and dad, foster sister (human) and foster brother (dog). In typical pittie fashion, she likes to sit on others. She has sat on everyone in the house, with the exception of the kitties... although she will tell you that she is still working on that. She'll plop down anywhere. The other thing about Sina, is that she likes to be....picked up. Yup, just like a cat and held in your arms.Throughout the day, she will stand up at your feet or while you're sitting and paw at you asking to "come up". While foster mom is working, she will lay on her lap...again, like a big, giant, oversized cat.

This sassy girl would do best in an active home with a fenced in yard, a dog playmate and lots of toys. She needs to stay busy and would love to walk trails or fields with you.
She also needs an owner who will be a good pack leader to remind her of her manners when she's being pushy. She is great with her crate, as long as there's enough blankets for her to "nest" in, toys and a little water. Her housetraining is great when there's a routine. She currently sleeps overnight in her crate, has breakfast in the morning and immediately goes outside to the bathroom. If she has a fenced in yard, she can "go" alot easier. If she has to be walked on leash, like she currently does, she is much more particular with finding a spot to go and it takes more time. She is not a vocal dog when she has to go out, but is very bright. If an owner can teach her to signal when she has to go, that would be wonderful. In her foster home, they have learned her subtle signals indicating she has to go outside.
