Meet Myla
If you're looking for a heart-wrenching rescue story, look no further. When we got Myla into rescue, the shelter had been prepared to euthanize her because they suspected degeneration in her nervous system in her hind legs. We got her taken to a vet who thought the problem was probably different: Myla was so malnourished, she just had absolutely no muscle mass. This gal was so skinny that you could reach two fingers around each of her hind legs.
Myla is working on gaining weight and possibly attending physical therapy to help build her endurance and muscle mass. She is probably 7-9 years old, but could be younger, it's difficult to tell in her malnourished condition. Despite her hardships, Myla is a happy girl who is always eager to meet new people. She likes going on walks, but can only go short distances right now.
