Gilligan Lhasa Apso & Pekingese Mix Somerville, MA

Meet Gilligan! He is a Pekingese and Lhasa Apso mix who weighs about 14 lbs. He is estimated to be about 2 or 3 years old. Gilligan came to rescue from a local shelter and feels great after a much needed haircut! He was a very good boy for his haircut, even though we knew that he was in some pain due to the matting he was licking the hand of the groomer. He is such a silly little dog. His face is just too cute and he can usually be found rolling around on the hardwood floors to scratch his back or playing fetch with his squeaky toys.

Gilligan is very affectionate with his foster family and good with his foster siblings; he also seems to be fine with cats. He is however wary of strangers and strange dogs. He is looking for a home where an experienced dog owner can provide him with gentle but firm leadership; someone who is good at training dogs or is willing to work with a trainer to improve Gilligan's tolerance of strangers. At this point, Gilligan can only go to a calm home with little coming and going. Gilligan would do best in a single-family home with a securely fenced in yard.
