Meet Hope

Hope is an absolute LOVE BUG. A volunteer sent glowing reviews on Hope from a recent visit that Hope made to the volunteer's home; " Hope and I had a great day. We played at my house (lots of belly rubs), then went to the park. She is such a good dog. We explored a lot around the park then sat out on a blanket. (She's a people watcher like me). Very easy to be with. The only time she barked was in the car. I guess she's just so excited! She calmed down pretty fast. A wonderful house guest."

Hope was an owner surrender to one of the area shelters that we work with. No idea why. But we do know that Hope had had multiple litters of puppies in the past.:( But we've taken care of that and now we're taking care of finding her a home where she can just be a dog.

Hope is incredibly sweet, incredibly affectionate and incredibly gentle. She does like to jump up to give you kisses, but it seems she does it the easiest way that she can. She enjoys the company of all humans, young and old.

Hope's estimated birth date is July 2011. It's getting harder and harder to guess breeds now a days. Hope looks like a short coated shepherd, but she only weighs 50 pounds.

Please see our homepage for visiting hours and adoption details.

All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots.
You must complete an application at the shelter prior to meeting any of our animals. (Sorry--our application is not available on-line or via email.)
We do not do same-day adoptions; we ask that you return for a follow-up visit before taking an animal home.
We require a fenced yard (sorry--no invisible fences) for homes with children under age 11.
We do request vet and personal references.
At this time, we are only able to consider applicants within 150 miles of Cincinnati.

Can’t adopt but want to help? You can make a difference! Our shelter is run entirely on volunteer-power and generous donations from animal-lovers like you. 100% of your contribution goes directly to caring for our 500+ furry residents. Thank you for your support.
