Name: Elijah Breed: Shepherd/Hound Mix
Approximate Age: 1 year
Approximate Weight: 55 lbs.
Currently Living at: FOSTER. Elijah is looking for his forever home!
Look at those ears! Meet sweet Elijah. He is a 8-9-month-old shepherd/hound mix looking for his forever home. He is good with other dogs, but has not been observed around cats. We can test him if needed. He might do better in a home with a second dog, to show him the ropes! Since he is still a young pup, he does have a lot of energy! He likes kids, but is a jumper so would need to be watched around kids under 5.
Elijah is still a young pup who is looking for a family that will give him the exercise and love that he deserves. He dreams of going on long walks, hikes or even runs with his future family. Of course, he would love to meet new friends at the dog park, too. Obedience classes would also be fun so he can show off just how smart he is. He loves toys- especially his peanut butter kong! He is also a sporty dog and LOVES fetch! He is great at bringing the ball back to you too!
Is Elijah the right fit for your family? He sure hopes so! He promises a ton of doggie kisses and tail wags in return for some TLC.
Like most shelter dogs, Elijah may need a refresher on housetraining. He is likely crate trained.
