8/8/2014: Avery is a very sweet-natured American Staffordshire/American Bulldog mix. She has adorable markings and an expressive face. She's extremely loving, cuddly, and a people pleaser. BE SURE TO WATCH HER VIDEO! She's a submissive girl and just a tad bit timid.

Avery is house trained and kennel trained. She loves to ride in the car. She knows basic obedience commands and listens well. Avery gets along well with other dogs and lives with other dogs in her foster home. She is not good with cats and needs a home without cats.

Avery weighs 50 lbs and she is 3 years old. She's been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and tested for heartworms. If you are interested in meeting Avery, please submit an adoption form and if she seems like she may be a good match for you then we can make arrangements for you to meet her at our shelter or a satellite adoption event.

> Our goal is to send you home with a healthy pet and any information and support you may need to help your new pet adjust to his or her new home. All of our dogs & puppies have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas & ticks, tested for heartworms (7 mo. and over), and are on monthly heartworm preventative. Puppies who are too young to receive all the necessary puppy boosters and/or first rabies shot may be brought back to us for those vaccines at no extra charge. You will also receive a leash, collar, coupons for pet supplies and services, toys, and educational materials. And we'll give your dog a bath before he or she goes home!

> Please note that we prefer and may require a fenced yard for many of our dogs. Exceptions are made on an individual basis depending on the dog's needs, the person's dog experience, the dog's and person's activity levels, home environment and other factors.

> An application is required to adopt a pet and applicants must meet our adoption requirements. If you decide you'd like to adopt one of our dogs, we reserve the pet for you but we generally don't send the dog home with you that same day.
