Because of time constraints of our volunteers - we must limit the drive time to around the Rochester, NY area and the bordering towns along the Monroe County, NY line.
We do require safe containment which is traditional fenced in yards. Prior pet ownership is required with a vet reference check.

Georgia is a five year old dachshund mix who recently experienced shelter life. She had a home from the time she was 18 weeks but then the family had serious financial problems and lost their home to the bank. They left poor Georgia in a shelter. She was so scared they couldn't put her on the adoption floor so they contacted us and asked if we could take her. We were happy to help this beautiful girl get a home.

She is sweet and learning to go places as we think they never took out of the house. She is riding in a car well, playing with foster dogs and experiencing Petco adoption days like a champion. How cute she is and her beautiful soulful eyes tell you that she misses the routine of her earlier life. But that is okay Georgia - we will find you a fabulous home and you will never go back to the shelter.

She is 18 lbs and 90% Doxie! Sweet, loving and has all the looks like a Doxie girl but her legs are a wee bit longer. That might be a good thing when you are chasing your foster dogs in play! Longer legs means the faster I can play and chase you around the yard.
The foster home believes that it will not take long for this sweetheart of a dog to steal your heart.

Georgia will be at Petco in Henrietta on September 9 and 23rd on Hylan Drive from noon to two. This is a great place to take her for a walk and get to know her.
