Meet Oh Kappi!!!! Hospice needed :-(

UPDATE: Kappi has received her dental. While extracting her infected bad teeth she had some bone fragments in the area. The doc wanted to do a biopsy as this typically is seen when there is a tumor present. Indeed there is a tumor. After several Pathologists reviewed the results of the biopsy it is thought to be cancerous. :-( We are very sad for this girl but happy that we were able to relieve her of much discomfort. She will remain with STH in foster care and monitored for eating and pain. Doc will take another look at her in a couple months to look for growth and quality of life. In the mean time you never know when she might find that guardian angel that will love her for however long she has and will know when it is time to let her go peacefully and painlessly.

We will still take donation to help with the care of Kappi as a dental with many extractions and a biopsy sent to Michigan State was very costly for STH. Contact her foster mom if you have any question or feel that you have what it takes to be that guardian for her. She rewards me everyday with purrs head butts and lots of lap time!!!! She is truly the best snuggler in town!

Oh Kappi! Shelter to Home will find you a home.
Oh Kappi! No need to worry anymore.
Oh Kappi! Your mouth will hurt no more!!!!

Kappi came to a shelter that was on the verge of being over crowded and was at risk for being euthanized because she is 10 years old and she has a horrible infection in her mouth because she has a couple of really bad teeth. She is going in on Wednesday March 25th for a dental. The antibiotics have been helping with the infection so she can have that dental safely!

Kappi is front paw declawed and fully vetted. She has some bad matting on her chest right now and we are working on getting those mats out without shaving her. Her new owner will have to brush her and feed her high-qualityfood to keep her beautiful coat in good shape. We have begun this process and she has been very good in allowing the brushing.

She has good litterbox habits. She is still in isolation for a few more days. We will be releasing her to meet the other foster cats and the resident dogs to see how she does. We are being cautious due to her age, slowly acclimating her to her new surroundings.

If you are interested in adopting this great gal please contact Lori at lwend5763@yahoo.com for an application. She will be available 10 days after her dental if all goes well. Her adoption donation is $100.

If you can't adopt but would like to donate to her expensive dental, please visit our website at www.sheltertohome.com and click on the donate page. We have a Paypal account please put on the donation that you are donating to Oh Kappi!

Thanks for looking and adopting!
