Lexie is an adorable little Chihuahua that is easy to fall in love with.

Lexie's original family has gone through some hard times and, unfortunately became homeless. They loved Lexie so much, and reached out to CRT to ask for our help in rescuing her from the unknown things that are upcoming in their lives. Of course we said yes. We are happy to help Lexie, and we wish this family all the best as they move forward.

Lexie has settled in nicely with her foster family. Lexie is a little shy when she first meets people. But once she gets to know you, she LOVES you. Yes, Lexie loves to be with her people! She loves to be held and snuggled with. Her idea of a great day is spending as much time as possible being held in your warm arms and laying in your warm lap. And you can really top off her day by treating her to her favorite snack - baby carrots! Yummy!

Lexie gets along great with the other small dogs in her family. For entertainment, Lexie loves to play with her toys. And she wants to have ALL the toys. Tiny and mighty, she will defend her turf and collect all the toys available! But if her humans want the toys, she happily brings them over to you, and waits for you to shower your love and approval on her. (It makes her so happy to please her humans!)

Lexie is leash trained, and loves to go for walks with her human. Lexie enjoys taking naps with her foster Mom, and she is also crate trained. She is also pee-pee pad trained. Lexie is a young 7 1/2 years old, and has many happy years ahead for her (Chihuahuas can live to be 18 - 20 years old). Lexie's spirit is strong and she knows that better days are ahead. Lexie is spayed, micro chipped, up-to-date on shots, HW negative and on heartworm prevention. She is ready to join a loving family - could you be her perfect home?
