Adoption ApplicationThere are many ways you can help. Click HERE to find out how.
"Elvis" is a Ridgeback/Redbone cross, although it boggles the mind why such a mixture of breeds would have been done intentionally. (We know his origins because we also rescued his mother and three siblings.) He isn't camera shy, by the way, just unable to stand still for more than two minutes. Elvis was born in March of 2010 and is neutered, heartworm negative, up to date on shots, x-rayed clear of hip dysplasia and micro-chipped. He doesn't have a ridge and exhibits more Redbone characteristics than Ridgeback, including an intense love for water. Like the entertainer he was named for, Elvis is a born showman. His antics are legendary here at Etosha and make us laugh every day. He is great with dogs his own size but a little hard on the wee ones. Elvis is looking for a good home with plenty of room to run, an olympic-sized pool or lake within hiking distance, another dog to play with, sturdy children over eight and no furry critters (like cats) to contend with. He is crate trained and will snooze away most of a hot afternoon indoors -- OR clear all the kitchen counters if someone forgets and leaves him loose in the house (pesky Ridgeback influence there).
