Meet Roxy
Roxy is a female fawn shar pei, recently rescued from a Southern California shelter.
She is very friendly, but can be shy around new people. She is about 40 pounds and has a soft horsecoat. Roxy is a typical female, dominant and protective. She likes to know where you are, but doesn't want to be in your lap. She is good with most dogs, but does best with submissive or neutral males. Roxy likes to patrol and pace and is good with kids.
Roxy is very smart and learns quickly. She was not entirely housebroken when we got her, but is improving (she needs encouragement in new environments to know where is the right place). Roxy will tolerate a crate, but isn't crazy about them (a good bone or something to keep her busy solves the problem). She does travel well in a car. Roxy is spayed, microchipped and is up to date on vaccines.
Roxy would do well in a home without a lot of new people in and out. She's suspect of strangers, but not aggressive.
