Monticello Basset Hound Auburndale, FL

Have you seen Monitcello?? Monticello is a 9 year-old HUNK!! Monti is a very animated hound. He has all the classic basset features: wrinkly socks, droopy eyes and lots of hanging skin. Therefore he needs a lot of daily attention. He takes cyclosporine drops for his eyes. He needs his ears cleaned daily and he needs a bath weekly, due to the yeast that accumulates in his many folds. Because of his skin issues he does need to stay on a grain free diet. If Monticello could have his bed in the kitchen he would. He loves to eat and he LOVES snacks. He also bows when he gets excited. Monticello is good with other dogs and doesn’t mind cats. Because of Monticello's heavy eyes, he does not see everything so he can be snappy if woken up and he will be a little gruff til he smells you. Monti needs to be in a home with NO young children. He does not like a lot of noise or excitement -- it makes him nervous and then he goes on the defense. He loathes getting his nails trimmed. Wouldn't you love to have this handsome fella in your house?
