Meet Greta

Greta is a 9 year old female Doberman that doesn’t act her age. She is more like a 6-7 year old at heart. Greta is absolutely addicted to tennis balls and loves to play fetch. Greta is very well-mannered, house trained, walks well on a leash, knows sit, down, and is good in the car. Greta also knows “that’s enough” which is a critical command for this tennis ball-obsessed dog!

The great thing about Greta is that she has the energy and good health of a younger dog, but she loves her routine, space, and quiet time just as much as she loves playing with tennis balls. Greta will happily sit or lay and watch TV with you or she may even take herself to another room for some real quiet time. She is not a “needy” dog, but will also follow you around the house, nuzzle you with her nose, has special itchy shots she loves to have scratched and, of course, she will check in with you often to see if you might want to play ball.

Greta does have some arthritis, but this doesn’t slow her down and doesn’t require any medication at this time. Greta receives a dose of a low cost medication (Proin) in the morning and at night to prevent leaking which is very common in older dogs, but as long the Proin is given regularly there are no issues at all.

Greta has had a full vet check, including blood work and urinalysis. All these test show she is in perfect health. The vet even said her liver values are that of a much younger dog!

Greta has shown aggression towards other dogs off leash and needs an experienced doggy home without other pets.

Overall Greta is a FABULOUS people dog with many more good years ahead of her. Greta is looking for a quiet forever home where she can bond with her people over tennis balls and quiet time free of other pets. If you think Greta is the right fit for you please schedule a meet and great. She will steal our heart away in seconds.
