Eliza Flat-Coated Retriever & Basset Hound Mix Potomac, MD

* { font:inherit; } UPDATE: Eliza has suffered a set back.  Since our last posting, Eliza has developed major staph and strep infections in her urinary tract.  A follow up visit with her surgeon, Dr. Saylor of VRA Gaithersburg,  revealed that her left kidney was not functioning.  She was immediately brought into surgery, where both the kidney and left ureter were removed.  They were full of static urine, which could have been fatal if left untreated.  Eliza also underwent a colposuspension to give her the best possible outcome for her urinary incontinence.  Eliza remains at VRA, and is in a good deal of pain, but Dr. Saylor and staff are keeping a watchful eye on her.  Needless to say, her medical bills are mounting.  Donations in any amount would be gratefully appreciated.  Please keep sweet Eliza in your thoughts and prayers.   Everyone loves Eliza!  We aren't the least bit biased though:)  Eliza is a 1.5 year old Flat Coated Retriever/Basset Hound mix.  She has the most unique looks-the body of a Flattie, the short stubby legs of a Basset.  Eliza is certainly a head turner!  Stoop down to pet her, and she will go belly up, waiting for you to scratch her.  Eliza is wonderful with adults, children, dogs, and cats.  She loves to be outside, running with her canine pals.
