Meet Moose-Adopted!

Poor Moose had a rough start to life. When he was first rescued, he was very sick with parvo, an often fatal virus, but luckily came through treatment with flying colors. It soon became apparent that Moose also suffered form hip dysplasia, for which he underwent surgery. His hip healed from surgery, but he was left with a funny gait that he thankfully doesn't seem to notice. Moose has spent the past several months in a foster home where he has slimmed down and learned to love being active. He loves to go for his daily walks and is always happy to play with the other dogs in his foster home. Moose also appreciates a good lazy day and is content to snuggle up on the couch with you. He has lived with children in the past and did well with them. Moose can be very protective of his people and would do best in a home with a stronger handler. Birth date 6/11

Additional info on our home page.
Home FurEver is a non-profit foster based canine rescue seeking foster parents, volunteers and donations. Please see our website for more information.

Please note that Home FurEver does not post applications on line. We will receive all applications in person at local adoption events in order to conduct an in-person interview. All members of the household should be present for the application and interview process. All applicants require a home inspection and vet check - Please note that we cannot drive more than an hour to do a home inspection. We do require a fenced back yard for all bully breeds. Some dogs may require households with children over a certain age.

Ask yourself some questions before you consider bringing a new dog home. 1. Am I ready for a LIFE LONG commitment? 2. Am I prepared for a roudy puppy? 3. Am I prepared to potty train? 4. Is this the right breed for me or my family? 5. Can I afford the food and vet care for this dog? 6. Is it best to have a totally fenced yard? 7. Will I make a commitment to obedience training?
