Dear Potential Adopter,

I know I’m not young like a lot of the other cats that come through my foster home
Does that mean I can’t love you like they can?
My coat isn't long and silky like theirs
Does that mean I don’t like to look good?
Brushing makes me feel good and I like the attention
Does that make me unworthy of someone to provide it for me?
Why doesn't someone want to do that for me?

I get nervous when my foster dad stays away for a long time
I would like a someone to stay with me and let me love them
My last owner left me…forever
I’m content now but I really would like to roam the house
I’m not comfortable around other cats because I don’t know how they would be with me
and I don’t like conflict
Does that mean I can’t have a home of my own?

I’ve been here for a long time now, and it’s okay, they care…
But I really want a home I can call my own, and someone to love me there
I meet lots of people and my foster dad tells me they’re okay to pet and scratch me
One lady almost took me home, and I was a bit anxious about that
But she changed her mind and I’m still here

Do you know what I am I dreaming of?
When I have almost come to the end of my rope,
You would see my face, and I would finally have hope.
You would take me home, give me food and a bed,
And would share your own pillow with my poor tired head.
We would snuggle and play, and you would talk to me low,
You would love me so dearly, you would want me to know.
I might have lived most of my life with another,
But you would outshine them with a love so much stronger.
And I would promise to return all the love I could give,
To you, my dear person, as long as I would live.

Sasha is a very special girl. You will need to have love and patience to take Sasha home. Silly Sasha does not like change. Would you be willing to give Sasha the time she needs to learn to trust you and her new environment? She may never be a lap cat, but she does love attention and adores being petted and loved. If you have the patience and love for this beautiful girl.....you could help mend her broken heart and let her live and love again.

We are happy to help you if you need to rehome your purebred cat. Often, we can offer advice if your cat is having behavioral problems, and you may end up keeping the cat. We do NOT ship cats. We will place cats out of area but you must arrange to come and meet your new friend in person.
