Meet Sara

Say hi to super Sara! This adorable young lady is hoping to find a "fur"ever home just in time for summer, so that she can romp and play to her heart's content!

Sara came to HHS as a stray, which unfortunately limits the amount of background information that we have. She does appear to be about 1 year old, so she definitely still has a lot of play left in her! She still has some mouthiness in her play, so for that reason, we feel she would be in a home with no small children.

If labs make your heart leap, why not consider stopping in to visit with lovely Sara! She'll be so happy to see you!

Pets come into the shelter every day. There are ALWAYS more pets available at Harbor Humane Society than are posted on Petfinder, so please be sure to stop by often to find your new best friend! PLEASE BE SURE to stop in or call as soon as possible if you see a pet you're interested in on Petfinder.

Note: Harbor Humane Society does NOT charge to bring in a found pet if you found the pet in Ottawa County. Please bring in the pet(s) during business hours and do not let them loose outside. Please try to give as much information about the pet to the staff as you can.

Domestic pets such as cats & kittens, dogs & puppies, house rabbits, pet mice & rats, gerbils, guinea pigs, hamsters, pet birds, ferrets, chinchillas, pet reptiles, etc., CANNOT live on their own outside and suffer horribly. They depend on people for their care and survival. We accept and have supplies to care for all of these pet animals at the shelter and have a staff veterinarian. We DO work with rescues. Please bring unwanted pets into the shelter!! Do not let them go outside.

Please be kind to animals! If you need help with an unwanted pet situation, please let us try to help--just call (616) 399-2119, or stop in at HHS during open hours.

If you've LOST a pet and do not see your pet when you come into HHS, PLEASE ask at the front desk before leaving! Bring in a color picture and description. Many times cats come in a few months after they're lost. Don't give up hope.
