Rufus - ADOPTED! Brittany Spaniel & Beagle Mix Northville, MI

Arrival story: Rufus comes to us from a shelter that was full and was going to euthanize him to free up space. Approximate age: 10 Months Old Personality: Rufus is a very sweet, loving and playful dog. He is still very puppy like when it comes to playing. He gets along with other dogs and loves playing with his foster siblings and also does well with his foster's cat. He knows how to sit and shake and is crate trained. Forever home: Rufus is a happy and social boy and would likely do well in many situations. Because he is still very pupply like, he will need a family that will keep him busy and provide stimulating activities to help wear him out. Because he loves to play and has an active personality, another playful dog would be great for Rufus. He should go to a home with a physical fence because dogs of this breed mix will follow their nose. The curiosity of other dogs and critters is just too much for a dog like him not to explore more.

Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $175, $275 for small breed dogs or $200 for puppies plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age. Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check

With few exceptions, we show our adoptable animals on Saturdays from 12pm - 3pm at PetSmart in Northville (on Haggerty Rd between 6 and 7 mile) or PetSmart in Canton (the northwest corner of Ford Rd and Haggerty Rd). Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).
