Our Mission

Second Chance Animal Center is dedicated to providing compassionate shelter and adoption services for the animals in our care and improving the lives of companion animals in the communities that we service via spay/neuter assistance, humane education, advocacy, and humane investigative advice and assistance to law enforcement agencies.

Adoption Policy

Second Chance has an online adoption application process for cats, dogs, and small critters. Veterinarian and landlord contact information is required on all applications. Once application is submitted, it may take several days for us to follow up with all appropriate contact information. We will initially respond via email but feel free to call us directly with any follow-up questions. We always encourage potential adopters to submit an application in advance of your visit to our shelter. Same-day feline adoptions are possible with pre-approved applications. Canine adoptions take several visits as dog-to-dog and family meet-and-greets are required.
