Our Mission

At Spring Branch Rescue, we believe every dog and cat deserves a chance — a chance to be safe, to be loved, and to finally go home. In a city overwhelmed by an animal crisis, we are a lifeline for the forgotten and abandoned. From the streets of Houston to homes across the country, we pour our hearts into every rescue. We provide urgent medical care, a place to decompress, and a promise: you are no longer alone. With each life we save, we’re not just rescuing animals — we’re rewriting their stories. One journey. One heartbeat. One forever home at a time.

Adoption Policy

Spring Branch Rescue Adoption Policies At Spring Branch Rescue, our goal is to ensure every pet is placed in a safe, loving, and permanent home. These policies help us protect our rescued pets and support adopters in making successful, lifelong matches. 1. Application Process All potential adopters must complete an adoption application. Applications are reviewed by our team to ensure the best match for both the adopter and the pet. References (personal and/or veterinary) may be contacted as part of the process. 2. Adoption Requirements Adopters must be 21 years or older. All current pets in the home must be spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and well cared for. Renters must provide proof of landlord approval for pets. Adopters must show proof of a stable residence (home ownership or lease). 3. Meet & Greet / Home Checks A virtual or in-person home check may be required to ensure the environment is safe. Meet & greets with current pets are encouraged to support a smooth transition. 4. Adoption Fees Adoption fees help cover veterinary care, vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip, and transport. Adoption & Transport Fee ranges from $550 to $750 for Dogs & Cats. 5. Transport & Placement We transport pets every 3 weeks to the Pacific Northwest, East Coast, and some cities in the Midwest. All pets travel with a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. Adopters are responsible for being present to pick up their new pet at the scheduled transport location. 6. Return Policy If, for any reason, an adoption does not work out, the pet must be returned to Spring Branch Rescue. Adopters may not rehome, abandon, or surrender pets elsewhere without prior approval. 7. Lifetime Commitment Adopting a pet is a lifelong responsibility. We expect adopters to provide proper veterinary care, training, love, and companionship for the entirety of the pet’s life. By adopting from Spring Branch Rescue, you are not only giving a rescued pet a second cha
