Mocha is a quiet, thoughtful girl who, once she gets to know you, will smooch and happily show you her tricks. She is looking for a caring and compassionate home that will help build her confidence and understand she is a bit shy when meeting new people.<br/><br/>Spring Branch Rescue is not an animal shelter. We are a Foster based organization from Houston, Tx. We have fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Due to Covid 19 restrictions all Meet & Greets have been cancelled. Our adoptable pets are in Houston living with foster families waiting for their adoption approval. We have a scheduled transport every 2 weeks leaving Houston to the Pacific Northwest. We are very detailed while reviewing applications. This adoption process will require 3 videos of (outside of your home, backyard, and inside of your home) since we are not able to conduct home checks at this time. We will be calling 2 references. We will be contacting your veterinarian to make sure you have vaccinated all your pets yearly, and that all have been spayed/neutered. <br/><br/>Please make sure that everyone in your family is on board about adopting a rescued pet including your current pet. Our rescued pets will have to be allowed a time to decompress and adjust into your home. We conduct our interviews to make sure you are not adopting based on impulse, but instead looking for a forever family member. Allow yourself time to mourn the death of your pet before you start looking for a new pet. None will ever replace the one you lost or compare to it after it arrives. We want this to be their last stop. If your application is not selected it means that this pet had specific needs. We always recommend you have 2 adoptable pets on your application. Our volunteers are working hard to review ALL applications that arrive.
