Our Mission
Johnstown Animal Welfare Society (JAWS) aims to humanely address the stray animal problem in the city of Johnstown PA by finding furever homes for street cats and dogs. We are a collaboration of home-based rescues and fosters who fully vet all animals. Adoption Policy
Adopters have to complete an application that includes personal references and a veterinary reference. I have volunteers that check on the references, and we confirm that they have properly vetted prior pets. They also have to detail other pets in their current household, and confirm that they will not declaw.
