Our Mission

Kane’s Mission – Dog Rescue is a non-profit corporation and shall operate exclusively for educational and charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future Federal tax code. Kane’s Mission – Dog Rescue’s main purpose is to save the lives of dogs that have been unnecessarily put on, or are close to being put on, the euthanasia list at County Shelters, Municipal Shelters and Humane Societies, as well as dogs that need rescued from puppy mills and breeders, and owner surrenders. Kane’s Mission – Dog Rescue will also advocate for a reduction in euthanasia cases, through education and media campaigns. To maximize our impact on current efforts, we may seek to collaborate with other non-profit organizations which fall under the 501(c)(3) section of the internal revenue code and are operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes. At times, per the discretion of the board of directors, we may provide internships or volunteer opportunities for involvement in said activities and programs in order to have a greater impact for change.

Adoption Policy

The potential adopter would fill out an application. We would contact them, and have an initial phone interview. The next steps are to set up the home inspection, and perform reference checks, as well as reach out to their veterinarian to make sure that their current or previous animals were all kept up on vaccinations, monthly flea/heartworm meds, and that they were well cared for, medically. After the home inspection, we would set up a meet and greet with them. Sometimes more than one meeting is necessary, especially if they have other animals. Once approved, they would fill out and sign the adoption contract, and pay the adoption fee, and we would then deliver the animal to them.
