Our Mission
Pound Hounds ResQ is a NYC-based animal rescue devoted to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals from the New York City shelter system and surrounding areas.
We believe that every animal deserves a loving home—and finding that home takes thoughtful matchmaking, compassionate care, and a whole lot of heart. We consider each animal’s behavior, shelter environment, and individual needs, as well as the dynamics of the potential foster or adopter’s household, to ensure the best possible fit.
We do not operate a physical facility. Instead, we rely on a network of dedicated foster homes who open their hearts and doors to help each animal decompress, heal, and prepare for a forever home. It’s a selfless act that changes lives—both human and animal—and we are endlessly grateful for our fosters who make every rescue possible.
Adoption Policy
There is an application process, an interview, and a home check.
There is an adoption fee for all animals.
