Our Mission
8Acre K9 Rescue and Rehabilitation is a 501(c)3 non-profit, founded with the mission to rescue and rehome the most vulnerable dogs who are at risk from being euthanized, not adopted, or adopted and returned. We would like to address the problem of overcrowded shelters whose population is not getting enough enrichment, along with abandoned or homeless dogs. We would like to be an option for owners who can no longer properly take care of their dog. Overall, our mission is to improve the quality of life of dogs and humans, by rescuing, evaluating, and rehabilitating the dogs that are most vulnerable and enriching the lives of humans who can benefit from the unconditional love of a dog.
Adoption Policy
Our adoption process is designed to be thorough, ensuring every dog and adopter have the best chance of creating their happily-ever-after story.
The first step is to browse our website and identify a dog you feel would be a great match for you. Once you’ve made your choice, please complete our online application. After receiving your application, we will review it and reach out with the next steps.
These steps may include a visit to our facility to meet the dog. Depending on the situation, a home visit may also be arranged. Our goal is to prioritize the happiness and safety of both our adopters and the dogs entrusted to our care.
