Our Mission
Lucky Meows is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization established to rescue and improve the lives of abandoned and neglected cats and kittens in NYC. We are very small and just getting started as an official rescue organization but we have been helping save the lives of many kitties for the last 2 years as independent rescuers and fosters. Whether the cats we rescue are feral or friendly, our mission to improve their lives remains the same, no matter the work involved. We strategically work to help control the outdoor over population of unsterilized outdoor cats using humane Trap Neuter Release (TNR) method. We actively engage and educate the people we meet where we rescue, to help care and protect the cats that are returned to live outdoors after they are spayed and neutered. We foster the friendly kitties we encounter, and provide complete veterinary care, including: vaccinations, spay/neuter, flea treatment, deworming and any additional treatment needed to ensure they are 100% healthy and ready for adoption.
We are animal lovers and we are thrilled to be part of the rescue journey. We hope to influence more people to take action and join us in protecting the lives of cats and make it a better world one kitty at the time.
Adoption Policy
We will contact the adopter within 24-72 hours from receiving the application to coordinate a phone call or interview.
Home video to do initial home check is required.
References are contacted.
Once application is approved, we coordinate bringing the cat/kitten to adopters home.
