Feline Urgent Rescue of Western North Carolina

FUR is a private sanctuary funded almost exclusively by donations and staffed almost exclusively by volunteers. We rescue, rehabilitate and rehome abused, abandoned and neglected cats in western NC. Along with our foster families, we provide food, shelter, love, socialization and enrichment to more than 100 cats every day of the year. We also ensure all cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, protected against fleas and ticks, tested for diseases and current on vaccines. We never euthanize kitties because they are "unadoptable" or to make room for others at our cage-free sanctuary. At FUR, we understand that a second chance for these kitties starts with us...and you!
