Bonita's Story

Bonita lives up to her name! This gorgeous 5-year-old girl came to FUR with her 5 kittens in April of 2025. She was extremely protective of her kittens when she first arrived at FUR - we don't think she had experienced much human kindness in her previous life. Fortunately, a concerned neighbor took the time to get Bonita and her beautiful babies to FUR.

Bonita took a long time to start trusting people, but now she loves sitting in laps and playing with toys! This friendly and affectionate girl is good with most cats, although there are a few cats at our Sanctuary that she doesn't enjoy being around. In her ideal home, she would be the only cat, but she can share the spotlight with another friendly cat. She LOVES the interactive "hide-and-seek" flutter toys and will try to carry them into cat trees!

Bonita was adopted in 2025, and she spent time being loved and spoiled in her adoptive home. Sadly, her adopter needed to return her due to his health issues and needing to move. Despite the heartbreaking situation, Bonita has settled back into FUR and she is looking for a new home where she can shine.
