Our Mission
Misfits & Underdogs is a village of big-hearted rescuers in South Mississippi fighting for the discarded, the overlooked, and the underdogs (& kitties too). We believe every underdog deserves a place to call home.
Adoption Policy
At the bottom of every listing is a How To Apply To Adopt section. Please read that!

Our adoption process is thorough and designed to ensure the best possible match for both the animal and the adopter. We require a detailed application, check veterinary and personal references, conduct phone interviews and video meet and greets (especially for out-of-state adopters), and may conduct home visits for applicants (virtual if out-of-state). We disclose all known health and behavior information so adopters can make an informed decision, and we look for a lifelong commitment, including a plan in place in case the adopter can no longer care for the animal.
