He does best with female pups or male dogs smaller than his 70lb frame. His sweet, buoyant nature makes him a wonderful match for families with active kids, and he'd also be the perfect adventure partner for an active single person or couple. Ty loves to be included in whatever is going on, whether its a hike, a car ride, or simply spending time with his people. He's an excellent traveler and happy whether riding shotgun or resting in his crate.<br/><br/>This handsome pup is crate-trained, house-trained, and doggie-door savvy. He walks well on a leash but, true to his hound heritage, his nose sometimes takes charge if he catches an interesting scent. Continued leash training will help him stay focused on the walk instead of the critters. Ty enjoys the outdoors, so a securely fenced backyard is a must. He already knows how to sit on command, especially if there's a treat involved, and is eager to keep learning.
