Fuzzy Towers Animal Foundation is a New Orleans-based nonprofit micro-rescue dedicated to increasing adoptability for dogs and cats at the Louisiana SPCA. We specialize in animals whose eye conditions — from cherry eye and corneal ulcers to glaucoma and enucleation needs — create financial barriers that too often end in euthanasia or long-term shelter stays. By funding and coordinating specialized veterinary eye care, we transform medically complex animals into healthy, adoption-ready companions. Every animal deserves a shot at a forever home. We're here to make sure no animal loses sight of their way home.
Adoption Policy
Prospective adopters submit an application through our online adoption form, which is reviewed by FTAF leadership. All applicants must acknowledge that FTAF animals have received specialized eye treatment and may require ongoing ophthalmological care — and confirm they are prepared to provide and fund that care.
A meet-and-greet between the applicant, the animal, and the current foster is required before any adoption is finalized. We also conduct a home check, which may be completed in person or virtually. Approval of an application does not reserve a specific animal.
Individuals with any conviction for crimes against animals — including cruelty, neglect, or abandonment — are ineligible to adopt. Background checks may be conducted at our discretion.
Adoption fees range from $25 to $190 depending on the animal's age, needs, and circumstances.
