Alfalfa's Story

Alfalfa's foster mom has some information about him to share with you!

"Alfalfa's typical day is an outdoor break, breakfast, a little play time then a little rest, a walk, a good rest, an afternoon play session with his foster-sibling, help with outdoor tasks or indoor tasks, chill time, dinner, outdoor play, chill time then bedtime in his crate.

He is always happy to see you, always ready for any adventure as long as he is near you. He is a great dog that is very well-behaved and always ready to spend time with you.

Alfalfa enjoys mundane activities like helping you weed the garden. He sits next to you helping you while you work and loves to hear what a good boy he is doing it." -Alfalfa's foster mom.

Alfalfa is about 8-months-old, is neutered and weighs about 40ish pounds. He loves other dogs. He also has done great in a home with cats after a slow introduction.

Alfalfa has learned to trust staff, volunteers and interested adopters. After visiting with Alfalfa a few times, be understands that he is safe around people. He just needs the chance to learn that.

Alfalfa loves cuddling and loves playing. And he LOVES swimming! He will need a home where his fosters or adopters can give him time to acclimate and set him up for success in doing so. We are here to help and can guide you!

Kiddos should be about 12ish and older in the home This little boy has melted all of our hearts. We love him so much Email pets@michianapets.org for an adoption application for Alfalfa.
