Adoption Policy
Our adoption process is designed to ensure that both our pets and potential adopters are a great match for each other, leading to successful and fulfilling companionships. Here's an overview of our adoption process:
Meet and Greet: Start by visiting our shelter and spending time with the animals available for adoption. Interact with them, observe their behavior, and see which ones you feel a connection with.
Application: If you find a pet you're interested in adopting, complete an adoption application. This helps us understand your preferences, lifestyle, and the type of pet you're looking for.
Interview: Our staff will review your application and might have a brief interview with you to discuss your expectations, experience with pets, and how you plan to care for your new companion.
Education: We believe in responsible pet ownership. Our team will provide you with information about the pet's needs, training, healthcare requirements, and the responsibilities that come with being a pet owner.
Home Check: Depending on the situation, we might conduct a home visit or check to ensure that your living environment is suitable for the pet you're interested in adopting. This step is aimed at ensuring the pet's safety and well-being.
Interaction: Spend more time with the pet you're considering adopting. This can include play sessions, walks, and bonding time to ensure that your personalities and lifestyles are a good fit.
Adoption Fee: Our adoption fee helps cover the costs of the pet's care, including vaccinations, spaying/neutering, and medical treatments. The fee also supports our efforts to rescue and care for more animals in need.
Finalization: Once you've chosen a pet and completed the necessary steps, you'll sign an adoption agreement. This outlines your commitment to the pet's well-being and responsibilities as a pet owner.
Post-Adoption Support: Our support doesn't end after adoption. We're here to answer any questions you have and provide guidance as you and your new pet transition into your life together.
Follow-Up: We might follow up with you after the adoption to ensure that everything is going well and address any concerns you might have.
