Our Mission

Our mission is to secure the rescue/adoption of at-risk cats in Jackson County, GA, in custody of Jackson County, GA Animal Control. This is done by a group of un-paid volunteers both local and out of state, as well as some of our Board members (also unpaid). Our mission furthers our exempt purpose of preventing animal cruelty by preventing the euthanizing of healthy, adoptable cats. We spend 100% of our time, effort and funds on this activity.
To do this we will solicit funds from the general public to pay for the county’s fees required to relinquish control of the animal(s), any additional medical care needed, transport costs, boarding and other expenses generated from the rescue process. We will solicit these funds via Facebook, Instagram, a web page, and any other viable social media formats that exist or may exist in the future. In addition, we will occasionally hold fundraisers to generate funds for unanticipated medical treatments, boarding and other costs not contemplated when initially setting our budget for a cat.

Adoption Policy

We check veterinary records, verify ownership of home/business, do a drive-by inspection and subsequent boots on the ground inspection. We require a signed application and contract stating that they will take the cat/kitten to the vet if ill or injured, plus annually for vaccines/exam. We require that they return the cat/kitten to us if they can no longer care for it.
