Our Mission

At Holding Hope, Inc, we are passionately dedicated to helping animals through building community programs, partnerships, and educating the public.

Our mission is the make a difference, one paw at a time, by providing safe havens for neglected and homeless dogs and cats awaiting their transport dates in high intake shelters and animal control facilities. We also focus on delivering community awareness on the importance of responsible pet ownership, such as spaying and neutering.

We believe in the intrinsic value of each canine and feline life, and we commit to treating each dog and cat with the love, care, and respect they deserve.

Through our efforts, we aim to build a more compassionate and educated community.

Adoption Policy

We ask that all potential adopters complete an adoption application that helps us determine how the pet will fit into your current lifestyle. All adopters must be at least 18 years of age. We need to have landlord approval prior to adopting to renters. We do not place holds on any pet that is available for adoption. If there are multiple approved adoption applications, the selection of the most suitable home and best match will be made by a drawing.

All members of the family should meet with the new pet. If there are other dogs in the household, we request that the potential adopters go through a “meet and greet” process with their current dog. This helps us and the family determine whether the dogs will get along with each other. In the case of a senior dog who may be overstressed by visiting the shelter, we will waive the “meet and greet” requirement. We do not have a “meet and greet” requirement for cats. If you are planning to adopt a dog and have cats at home, please ask our staff how the dog is with cats.
