Frank the Tank's Story
Frank the Tank is an English Bulldog with a heart as big as his sturdy, 50-pound frame. He has quite the origin story—he was recently rescued by some incredibly perceptive people off-roading in the mountains near the Rider and Barton cross streets. Left out in the middle of nowhere, someone may have sadly given up on Frank, but this resilient little guy didn't give up on himself. He survived the harsh mountain elements and is now 100% ready to trade the wild outdoors for a lifetime of pampered indoor luxury.

After being left behind in the cold, Frank has decided that he belongs as close to humans as humanly possible. He completely ignores his size and firmly believes he is a 10-pound lap dog, happily parking his entire body right on your feet or leaning hard against your legs whenever you sit down. When he isn't trying to merge into your skin, Frank treats napping like a full-time profession. He has an intense love for soft blankets and memory foam dog beds, where he can be found snoring loudly enough to rattle the windows. He is strictly a low-speed, high-joy companion who prefers short, leisurely strolls to sniff the grass over any strenuous hiking, always followed by a three-hour recovery nap.

Frank is officially retired from mountain life and needs a family committed to keeping him safe, cool, and comfortable indoors, especially since bulldogs are highly sensitive to heat. Because of his signature short-and-stocky build, a single-story layout or a home with minimal stairs would be the kindest choice for his joints. Frank prefers to be the undisputed king of his castle, so he is looking to be the only pet in the home where he can soak up all the undivided love he missed out on. He absolutely loves every person he meets, but because he is built like a solid little tank, he would do best in a home with sturdy children aged 8 and up who won't be easily toppled over by his enthusiastic, leaning cuddles.

Despite his rough start, Frank is an absolute gentleman who is already completely house-trained and crate-trained. He is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all of his vaccinations. Like all English Bulldogs, his distinguished facial wrinkles require a quick, simple daily wipe to keep them clean and healthy. If you are looking for a loyal, hilarious, and deeply affectionate companion to binge-watch your favorite shows with, Frank the Tank is officially ready to roll into your home.
